"Why SparkleValley?"
Sparkle Valley began as a gift—as a story I started writing for my daughter on the day she entered middle school. At the time, I sensed something slipping away. The world of imagination that once flourished in our garden, in hand-made fairy boats and dinosaur-filled woods was slowly being replaced by structure, screens, and relentless expectations.
This series of books is my attempt to capture what I saw happening to her, and so many children at that same age. The sudden shift. The quiet loss. The fading of play.
As a philosopher, I later found words for what I had felt. In the work of Novalis, I discovered the concept of the blue flower—a symbol of imagination, joy, and courage. I came to believe that this Blue Flower wasn't just poetry, it was essential. It's what makes us human.
So Sparkle Valley is, in many ways, a love letter. To my daughter, to my younger self, and to the belief that imagination is not a luxury of childhood. It's a life force worth protecting. If there's one message at the heart of these stories, it's this:
Imagination is not a phase. It's a power.
